Kontihene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, Baffour Nyantakyi Tutu Boateng is advising the Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area Daasebre Professor Emeritus Oti Boateng to stop the slavish fidelity of antiquity in this era of Chieftaincy and modernity.
He said development and progress cannot be achieved if leaders clearly demonstrate implacable and vindictive postures among their subjects or even peers.
Describing the Omanhene's autocratic attitude as the reason why most divisional chiefs have left the palace.
Kontihene of New Juaben Traditional Area Baffour Nyantakyi Tutu Boateng petitioned the National House of Chiefs over some anomalies occasioned by Regulation 7 (I) (h) of the L.I. 2409.
In that Petition, Baffour Nyantakyi Tutu Boateng accused Daasebre Oti Boateng of presenting non-existing, unheard of and phantom chiefs to the National House of Chiefs as divisional Chiefs from New Juaben Traditional Area and deliberately deleting the names of eight gazetted divisional chiefs from the L.I. 2409.
The petition sought to draw the attention of the National House of Chiefs to what the anomalies were and called for an amendment to that effect.
Meanwhile, Daasebre Oti Boateng and the New Juaben Traditional Council held a press conference to describe the Kontihene's petition as a 'Fatal Misjudgement'.
The press conference addressed by the acting president of the New Juaben Traditional Council and Gyasehene of the area Nana Twumasi Dankwa hinted that the Kontihene has been found guilty of some serious customary breaches.
It also portrayed that Daasebre Oti Boateng detected some errors in the L.I. 2409 before the Kontihene's petition and that errors have been corrected effectively.
The traditional council in their press conference also accused the Kontihene of not bringing his grievances to the Omanhene before going public.
However, Baffour Nyantakyi Tutu Boateng in a 3-page rejoinder describes the leadership of Daasebre Oti as a slavish fidelity of antiquity and advised the acting president of the New Juaben Traditional Council Nana Twumasi Dankwa to apprise himself very well with cogent facts and truth before appending his signature to proxy letters written by the powers that be.
Baffour Nyantakyi Tutu Boateng dared the traditional council to provide minutes of the supposed meeting that found him guilty of customary breaches.
He alleged that Daasebre Oti Boateng hurriedly wrote a letter to the National House of Chiefs correcting the anomalies and illegality occasioned by his actions in Regulation 7 (I) (h) of L.I. 2409 and backdated it after he (the Kontihene) has submitted his petition to the National House of Chiefs.
He alleged that the Omanhene of New Juaben Daasebre Professor Emeritus Oti Boateng deceived a public figure, that is, the President of the National House of Chiefs by backdating a letter to the house.
He described himself as a man of impeccable integrity and loyal to his conviction.
