The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has appealed to the nation’s tertiary students to stop processing application forms for the new Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) for this academic year.
A release signed by Mr William Yamoah, President of NUGS, said the action would give ample room for the bottlenecks surrounding the fund to be cleared to enable the Union to reach a proper and more acceptable deal that would be beneficial to all tertiary students.
The Union asked for the suspension of the implementation of the Fund to ensure a broader consultation and consensus to be reached with regards to the interest rate.
