Stephen Appiah says he is seriously considering a return to the national team, the ex- Ghana captain has exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com.
This comes just under a year after announcing his international retirement.
The 30-year-old midfielder however stressed it is not going to be a decision borne out of desperation since the Black Stars have more than enough quality to achieve even more for the nation.
“I am retired but you let’s wait to see what happens in future,” Appiah told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“If you look at the performance of the young ones such as Kwadwo Asamoah, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Asamoah Gyan and Dede Ayew you know I am not being missed much.”
The ex Ghana captain announced his international retirement after leading Ghana to its second ever World Cup last year in South Africa.
Appiah says he is considering the option due to the flogging plea of the masses.
Just last week, administrator Isaac Tetteh ‘ TT Brothers’ made a public plea for the midfielder to return.
