The editor of The Statesman newspaper, Frank Adjei Twum, says he is disappointed he was not invited to the meeting of President Mills and editors of media houses.
He said it was surprising that some editors like himself were left out of a meeting at which the president spelt out his achievements.
Speaking to Citi FM, Mr. Twum said he believes editors of media houses that are critical of the government were not invited.
But that for him is most unfortunate because if the president wanted to tout his achievements, those who criticize him should be invited.
He claimed The Statesman had deliberately been denied accreditation to the presidency.
Responding to his concerns, the communications director at the presidency, Koku Anyidoho, said it was unfortunate Mr. Twum was not invited.
He, however, added even pro-NDC media houses were not invited to the meeting.
“We are sorry but a decision was taken to invite only a section of the media,” he explained.
