StarLife Assurance has paid an amount of ¢226,104.16 to support the children of a deceased client.
The deceased client, Rosemond Asantewaa Acheampong, a Police Officer under the Adweso District Police Command in Koforidua, left behind two children and a husband.
She signed up for StarLife’s Ultimate Protection Plus and Child Lifeline Plus solutions in 2018 and 2020 respectively, with a total contribution of GH¢7,463.78 as of the time of her demise.
Though bemoaning their loss, Officers of the Regional Police Headquarters, Gallaway and the immediate family of the deceased, comprising of her husband and two children, breathed a sigh of relief and expressed surprise when StarLife presented the cheque to the family to support the children for life.
Presenting the cheque to the deceased client’s family, Edward Abakah-Hanson, Southern Zonal Manager at StarLife Assurance, stated, “This is a testament to our commitment to support our clients and their families in difficult times.
"The future of her children, who are the beneficiaries of her policies, are secured as a result of her decision to join the StarLife family by signing up to the two solutions.”
“We want to encourage the general public to critically consider their financial future and that of their families by taking insurance solutions that will benefit them in the medium to long term. Now is the time to take a policy with StarLife and not later,” he added.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the children, Wilfred Acheampong, Trustee and husband of the deceased client, said, “We are grateful to StarLife Assurance for staying true and committed to the terms of the policy with my late wife.
"We are very elated about this important claim payment since it is going to help with the education and welfare needs of the children.”
