StarLife Assurance, your leading life insurance provider, is excited to announce a novel strategic partnership with eGotickets, a leading event ticketing platform.
This collaboration is designed to offer a unique life insurance cover specifically for event attendees, safeguarding them against unexpected incidents that may occur immediately before, during and just after events.
Through this innovative partnership, StarLife and eGotickets would introduce a first-of-its-kind insurance option for event attendees.
Ticket buyers on the eGotickets platform will have the opportunity to secure life insurance coverage, providing financial protection in the unfortunate event of Total Permanently or Death due to incidents at the event.
This partnership highlights both companies' dedication to enhancing the safety and security of event participants in Ghana.
At the official launch, Kakra Duffuor-Nyarko, CEO of StarLife Assurance, remarked, "At StarLife, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that address the changing needs of our clients.
"Our collaboration with eGotickets provides some peace of mind and comfort for event attendees and that of their loved ones, even in the face of unforeseen circumstances."
Chief Executive Officer of eGotickets, George Mensah, stated “At eGotickets, we’re not just about selling tickets—we’re about creating a safer, more secure event experience for everyone.
"This ground-breaking partnership with StarLife Assurance sets a new standard in the event space, offering attendees the peace of mind that comes with knowing they’re protected.
"We’re proud to be the first to bring this innovative insurance solution to event-goers in Ghana, giving them the freedom to enjoy their experience without worrying about the unexpected.”
The Head of Supervision at the National Insurance Commission, Mrs Stella Jonah, congratulated StarLife Assurance for introducing a first-of-its-kind product in the insurance and events industry in Ghana.
She encouraged StarLife to prioritize timely claims payments in every situation and consistently put the needs of the customer first.
How this Partnership Works
When purchasing tickets on the eGotickets platform, customers will have the option to add insurance coverage for death and total permanent disability.
The life insurance coverage is automatically activated upon completing the ticket purchase and remains valid for the entire duration of the event.
In the event of a claim, beneficiaries can easily file through StarLife's seamless and user-friendly claims process.
