Berekum Chelsea coach Solomon Odwo says striker Kofi Owusu is open to any move away from the club after his impressive display for the Berekum based side in last season’s league.
Owusu won last season’s top scorer award after scoring 19 times for Chelsea, a feat which has attracted much interest from both local and international clubs.
Odwo notes that they are willing to let go the player only if a good deal is reached for the club. “He is open to any move, the thing with us is that we don’t keep the players who are willing to move out,” he told Joy Sports.
"For Kofi Owusu, a lot of teams are after him and we hope that any team that comes with a good offer for the young man, we will allow him to leave."
Chelsea have lost three key players to Asante Kotoko in the transfer market with RIchard Osei Agyemang, Samuel Kyere, Bennet Ofori joining the Porcupines.
Odwo is not disturbed with this and insists they will beef up before the season gets underway.
“Last season when I joined Chelsea almost eleven regular players had left but we recruited new players and you see what happened. We will get good players and I know we will do better than what we did last season when the league gets underway.”
Odwo led Chelsea to a respectable fourth place in the 2014/2015 FCPPL season.
