Electric vehicle assembly firm, Solar Taxi, is investing in building battery packs for solar vehicles at its assembly plant.
Sourcing batteries is highly competitive with the increasing interest of car manufacturing companies in producing electric vehicles.
The local project is expected to help reduce the cost and efficiency of batteries which is the main component of Electric Vehicles.
JoyNews' Nana Yaw Gyimah visited the battery lab in Kumasi and has come through with this report.
