Some social media users, especially ones on Twitter, are left in shock and anger after US-based singer Ari Lennox was forced to delete all her tweets and her Instagram posts about her experience in the country.
The R&B singer, born Courtney Shanade Salter, had come to Ghana to perform at the Afrochella concert held on December 28, 2021, and took the opportunity to tour parts of Accra.
She shared many photos and posts on her social media pages. Lennox had many good things to say about the country including tagging it as the “most beautiful country in the world.”
However, some persons underneath her posts laughed at her statement, others called some of her posts “corny” while a section felt her reactions to visiting Ghana was ingenuine.
After she deleted her posts, many social media users are now reacting to the criticism the singer was subjected to.
Some people feel it is unfair for Lennox to have such hate comments directed at her when she was only sharing something she had experienced.
Others believe this situation could affect Ghana’s pitch as a country welcoming of diasporans.

Can’t believe you guys really bullied Ari Lennox to delete her tweets. What is wrong with you people?! Everyday we come and shout mental health mental health but you can’t even be kind to people who are genuinely talking about their healing

Can you now call out you friends who bullied Ari Lennox into deleting her innocent tweets? Why do we do this ourselves as Africans and Africans in the diaspora? Look in the face of those clout-chasing uncouth irrational bitter insensitive friends and tell them they’re SHIT. Tueh!

When foreign media misrepresent us we call them out. When people like Ari Lennox visit to know the truth that AK47 doesn’t wake us up from bed and that here is peaceful and liveable, we strike. Mop3 d3n?

I remember applauding Rwanda Air and their services on Twitter ,I had a lot of Rwandans retweeting the post, the President’s daughter even joined in the engagement. Let’s learn to promote our country in a positive manner,no country is perfect. We need to do better us Ghanaians.

Anyway, the visitors saying Ghana is a lovely country because their experiences are not your problem. They are not the people imposing the momo tax and denying you affordable housing. Leave them alone and face your incompetent government. 🙄

Most of you are kids with kiddie mentality and still living with your parents or some hovel so lack serious exposure as well as common sense!
You don’t have economic or home sense !
I pray most of you get that level of exposure too because the way you people think is just pathetic as yourselves!
