After Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia cleared the air on not being married to one Ramatu, social media has been buzzing with several users sharing their thoughts on the matter.
The office of the Vice President on Friday in a press statement said "Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has never met or seen this purported Ramatu let alone take her as a wife."
This has led many Ghanaians to question the reason Speaker Alban Bagbin during the inauguration of President Akufo-Addo referred to the Second Lady as Ramatu Bawumia.
The chants were recorded. The Speakers response was recorded. Historians will wonder who Ramatu is or was. Without this denial, the point be made that she was indeed in some connexion with the Veep, who or whatever she is. https://t.co/TIw2wIILWe

Why did the VEEP have to respond to the Ramatu story? Some of the accusers have several side chicks

What did they say about her that is going to be recorded in the parliamentary hansard ?

When the speaker said "there is no dignitary here called Ramatu" or the chants ? How does that in any way validate that VP is married to someone like that.
Eiii so now Bawumia is claiming he doesn't know Ramatu because of politics? I mean how can you deny your own wife to the public like that ? I know the family of Ramatu will surely come out soon.

Although a section of Ghanaians believe it was a deliberate action, some are of the belief that it was a mere error on the Speaker's part.
I don't think it was intentional. He mention Ramatu right before that and it's bound to happen but it the reaction of the minority MPs that set the agenda and they did again during the SOTNA

So why is the Veep running away from Ramatu... my gee chill wai. #Ramatulivematter

Also, they want to find out why the Minority in Parliament during the recent state of the nation address kept chanting, "We want Ramatu."
The Vice President says Ramatu is a figment of imagination, who am I to say otherwise 😂😁
