Shatta Wale seems angry at Charterhouse after the Executive Director of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade, supposedly pushed an agenda against him and his colleague Stonebwoy.

“Can you as the media help the industry rise above these two? Let’s rise above these two and let the industry breathe and move on. Sarkodie won artiste of the decade and nobody even talked about it.”

“The industry is bigger than these two artistes and that what I want you to go back with. There are lots of young people who need the opportunity so let’s move on,” Mrs Theresa Ayoade said at a press conference.

Taking to Facebook, the dancehall artiste said that after getting banned from the awards scheme he did not expect the CEO to incite Ghanaians to go beyond him and his colleague.

“It is not Charterhouse that made me in Ghana. It is humbleness and respect. No one would respect you if you don’t respect yourself; make someone tell Charterhouse,” he said in a live Facebook video.

The ‘Borjor’ hitmaker stated that the organisation is acting like they can control all of Ghana’s music industry.

He tasked them to focus on their business to leave theirs alone.

Stonebwoy also reacted to the comments saying that it was a negative call to make.

However, entertainment pundit, George Quaye, explained that the statement was made in context and in no way to meant to suggest the company wanted the death of two of Ghana’s biggest dancehall artistes’ careers.

The host of Joy FM’s Late Night Express said that Charterhouse does not have anything against the two artiste neither are they aiming to boycott them.

“Nobody hates them! We love them! Personally, they are my brothers, so let us stop putting things in their heads that would make them think somebody hates them.”
