Railway workers in Accra, Sekondi-Takoradi and Tarkwa have walked off the job demanding more than four months of unpaid salaries.
The shuttle services between Tema and Accra and Accra and Nsawam have screeched to a halt since this afternoon.
Railway managers say they are trying to find a temporary solution.
