The ruling New Patriotic Party’s Volta Regional Chairman, Kenwood Nuworsu will have a second chance of becoming Deputy Minister for Manpower, Youth and Employment.
Mr. Nuworsu's nomination for the post was suspended because of adverse findings made against him by the Audit Service.
But the Appointments Committee of Parliament says it will reconsider his nomination.
This is because the Audit Service has made a u-turn, conceding that it erred in the financial report which implicated him. The Volta Regional Director of the Audit Service, N.K. Alormatu says the Service gave false information about the nominee.
The Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Freddie Blay, who is also First Deputy Speaker in Parliament, told Joy News he was not surprised about the turn of events because he was sure of the nominee's innocence all along.
He said the Committee will reconsider his nomination but fell short of saying when.
