Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez scored to send Real Madrid through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a comfortable win over Roma.
Real Madrid booked their passage into the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the sixth consecutive year with a 2-0 Round of 16 second leg win over AS Roma at the Bernabeu.
Leading 2-0 from the first leg, Zinedine Zidane's side completed a 4-0 aggregate win over the Italians thanks to second-half goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez.
But it could have been all so different, if Roma hadn't spurned three gilt-edged chances before Ronaldo netted his 40th goal of the season on 64 minutes.
Luciano Spalletti's side failed to take any of the opportunities offered to them by some erratic Los Merengues' defending, with Edin Dzeko and Mohamed Salah, twice, missing when one-on-one with Real Madrid goalkeeper Kaylor Navas,.
And Ronaldo went up a level in the second half, scoring the 90th goal of his Champions League career with a smart finish at the near post from substitute Lucas Vazquez's cross, then turned provider for James' strike four minutes later.
