Eddie Mensah - Managing Director at Right to Dream Academy

The Managing Director of Right to Dream Academy, Eddie Mensah, believes thinking about a long-term project has been the rationale behind the recent successes of the academy.

The academy has been a major contributor to some of the players that have come through the various men's national teams in the past years since its establishment in Ghana in 1999.

Abdul Majeed Waris, David Accam, Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Maxwell Woledzi, Ernest Agyiri, Yaw Yeboah and most recently Ernest Nuamah are some of the players that have come through the academy and gone on to play in Europe.

Speaking to Joy Sports, Eddie Mensah revealed patience has been a core factor in their achieving success over the years.

"The main thing that has made us successful is that we are patient and we think long-term instead of short-term," he said.

"We make sure that we are investing the time, energy, and resources for the long term and that is why we have managed to be so successful over the time."

He adds that they have no intentions of slowing down despite the successes chalked and will continue to get better,

"We still want to improve. We can never rest on our laurels and think that what we have done so far is good," he continued.

"Constant improvement is a mark of what we do."

A chunk of the player's Right to Dream have produced, have gone to play for Danish side FC Nordsjaelland before making the next step.
