Rev Gyakari Writes: True liberty

Every prisoner wants freedom I believe. But how free can you be as a person? How do I break free from the things that rule my life? Is there anywhere too comforting enough to relieve me of my fears and addiction?

Well, there is one who permitted the sentence and the same has also granted you pardon on condition. The enemy is only a jailer, the word of God is the judge. We, who went contrary to His word were once sentenced by the word and the devil made sure he kept the prison gates closed. We have escaped because someone paid the penalty on our behalf. The same word has been sacrificed to deliver us.

If I have accepted the offer of Christ, how do I stay outside the prison gates? Because the enemy doesn't agree with our redemption. He thinks we are guilty as he is, so he accuses us everyday.

2 Corinthians 3:17
"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

Where the spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty. The Spirit freed me and as long as He stays with me, I am free. Just that. Where the Spirit of the Lord is must surely be His dwelling place. But most unfortunately, many refer the temple of God to be the meeting places of the saints; a building where organized denominations meet to fellowship. Surprisingly, in many of these organized denominations, there is no liberty. It is either, the people are living in the fear of a man and not God or are coerced to adopt something inconsistent with the word of God.

Supposing my liberty is at church, what happens to me when I leave the church premise? Do I fall back into bondage again? Shockingly, this is the condition of many  Christians. They repent at church; liberated from their addictions and go back into it again. It's a weekly cycle.

1 Corinthians 3:16
"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"

I am sound in my spirit to know, that the God I am looking for is right inside me and nowhere. I am the temple of the Holy Ghost, so I am liberated in me not because I go to church. I am only outside the prison gates because the Spirit of God dwells in me.

Glory to Jesus! You are the temple of the Holy Ghost; God lives in you. And if God lives in you, there must be a liberation in your soul. You are not under bondage to anything or to anyone. Your service is to the Lord God almighty anywhere you are at anytime. True liberation comes at the insurgence of the Holy Ghost.

The question is, what have you been liberated from? I'm sure many believers might have asked themselves this question so many times. I am liberated from what?

First of all, you are liberated from sin. You are made Holy as long as the Holy Spirit continues to dwell in you. Sin cannot control you. It doesn't matter where you are at any point in time, as long as you carry the Holy Ghost, you remain holy.

1 Corinthians 3:17
"If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

Your body becomes a holy place. You cannot Sin. And the power to keep your body Holy is given you. Alleluia!! Gracious me, I sin no more. I lie no more. I steal no more. That evil spirit that used to control my life has been evicted. I am the redeemed of God.

But, please note this, you are free from sin and not free to sin. Your freedom in Christ does not permit you to sin. You have now become a slave unto righteousness. You have been taken from the prison of sin to the prison of righteousness.

Romans 6:18
"And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness."

There is only a transfer of prison, but this time the jailer is not the devil but the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit keeps you in righteousness and liberated from sin.

Lastly, you are liberated from poverty. As the Spirit dwells in you, and you maintain the temple holy, you are a priest unto God. Note this, if your body be the temple of God then you are a priest. What does the new covenant say about the priests of God?

Isaiah 61:6
"But you shall be named the priests of the Lord,
They shall call you the servants of our God.
You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles,
And in their glory you shall boast."

Amazing. I would prefer you read this scripture from verse one. You shall eat the riches of the gentiles, and boast in their glory. Because through you they shall come to know the way. They will bless you with their substances. As you provide them with the word of life, they will minister to you, the physical things you need. That is, if you will live the word and proclaim the good news. As a priest you are to lead people to God. If you will function as a priest and win souls for Christ, you can't be poor.

Also, there are divine principles and wisdom implanted into you as the Holy Ghost dwells. You produce a unique excellence and wisdom in your business that will call the gentiles to trade with you. Your business will thrive the harshest economic situations if you are walking with the Holy Ghost. The wisdom of God brings wealth and riches. Remember King Solomon, the gentiles brought their gold and substances just to hear his wisdom.

Are Christians liberated today? Very sinful people are among congregations today, even where Holiness is most emphasized. Very poor people are among congregations today, even where prosperity is most emphasized. Many faithless people are among congregations today, even where faith is most emphasized. The truth is, the Spirit of God is not truly abiding in many. Many are not abiding in Christ so the Spirit is not able to abide and have its free way in them. Many Christians are also denied of the truth and sound doctrine.

The word of God cannot be segregated into bits and pieces. It must be taken as a full pill. You cannot be free from sin, when you do not have the consciousness of your righteousness in the word. You cannot be holy without the Spirit leading you.

You cannot prosper without the rightful application of the principles in the word. The sacred principles of God you have received in you must be applied to lead you into prosperity. The problem is, many teachers are not teaching balanced messages. Many preachers have become too comfortable with their first convictions without delving deeper into the word. Deep calleth deep. Some are only interested in signs and wonders and miracles, others are also only interested in the teaching of faith, others Holiness, Some grace, and others wisdom. Messages must be balanced to benefit the believer.

See yourself as the temple of God. Keep your body clean; free from sin and enjoy Christianity. Walk in the word, be a slave to the Holy Ghost, do what He tells you and start counting your blessings.

SHALOM!
