Residents in the North-Eastern part of Accra will experience an interruption in their water supply from August 5 to 6, the management of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has said.
The Water Company explained in a press release that this is due to repair works at the Kpong Treatment Plant that serves water to the North-Eastern part of Accra.
Communities that are likely to be affected include; Dodowa, Frafraha, Adenta, Ogbojo, Madina, Ashaley Botwe, Adjirinano, East Legon, Agbogba, Haatso, Atomic, Ashongman, Dome, and other surrounding communities.
"As a result, water supply will be interrupted from 6:00 am on Wednesday to 6:00 am on Thursday, August 6.
"Management of GWCL, therefore, wishes to inform members of the general public as well as institutions or organisations within the affected areas to bear with the situation and store enough water ahead of the shutdown," the Water Company said.
It assured the general public that its engineers will work within the time period and supply will resume immediately works are completed.
