Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC a leading financial institution in Ghana and the premier home loan provider, has been adjudged the Best in Mortgage Finance in Ghana at the 35th Ghana Real Estates Developers Association (GREDA) Awards.
Republic Bank has led the mortgage finance space since its inception as the first mortgage finance company in Ghana.
Through innovative products, competitive interest rates, quick processing time and exceptional delivery service, the bank has maintained its status as the ‘master of mortgages’. One of such initiatives running now is the ‘Ultra-Low Interest Rates’ campaign, and the two additional repayment methods it introduced last year to reduce the interest burden on customers, saving them up to 40% interest on their mortgages.
Republic Bank came up tops among its competitors after a thorough assessment by the GREDA Awards Committee.
The chairperson of the committee, Mrs. Kuwornu, stated that the work of the committee was conducted through an external consultancy firm based in the USA, to ensure fairness and transparency.
The President of GREDA, Ebo Bonful, also said the GREDA Awards was instituted as an avenue to recognise and appreciate players in the real estate business and their contributions to the development of the housing sector in general.
Speaking on the bank’s feat, the Managing Director, Benjamin Dzoboku said, "this is yet another motivation to drive Republic Bank to do more".
He went on to dedicate the award to the bank’s mortgage customers in particular while thanking them for their loyalty.
Present at the ceremony to receive the award on behalf of Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC were Gabriel Bonney, Internal Auditor; Frank Oppong Yeboah, Manager Mortgag; Leila Pentsil, Manager Communications; Abena Anokware Amedeka, Mortgage Specialist; Christabel Gaskin; Mortgage Specialist, Wisdom Asante, Mortgage Monitoring and Servicing Official and Nelson Ahatefu of the Electronic Channels and Payments Department (ECPD).
