Readwide Limited, book dealers, has been honoured for its outstanding performance in revenue growth in the book industry in Africa.
The honour was bestowed on Readwide by Lexis Nexis of South Africa, publishers of books in law, finance, economics, accounting, history, arts and culture.
Readwide Limited emerged as the largest dealers in books in Africa especially on law, far ahead of Nigeria considered as the largest African country which has more lawyers and therefore buys more law books and other professional publications.
An accompanying citation signed by Billy Last, Chief Executive Officer of Lexis Nexis, said "Your commitment and drive in generating top line revenue for our company in particular, during the launch and initial sales of the laws of Ghana, set a benchmark for the Africa region. This is a credit to both your leadership and that of your team."
The award ceremony took place at Sanlamear Hotel in Durban, South Africa, recently and was received on behalf of Readwide by Mrs Offeibea Nettey, Chief Executive Officer.
Readwide Limited also promotes reading by making available to the public all titles that interest the public and again it sponsors education related programmes.
