The Communication Director of the Nana Akufo-Addo campaign team has unreservedly denied a statement attributed to him under the headline "Stephen Ntim is to Alan what Jake is to Akufo-Addo." The statement was received by myjoyonline.com through the email account of Mr Kennedy and later published. However, it is evident that his email was cloned and the statement sent in his name. Read the full details of the disclaimer by Arthur Kennedy below; RE: DENIAL OF ALLEGED ENDORSEMENTS OF CANDIDATES FOR NPP POSITIONS My shocked attention has been drawn to a statement on “myjoyonline” purported to be from me endorsing and condemning candidates for the forthcoming NPP National elections. That statement is a fabrication from start to finish. I have never issued any such statement. It is the product of a cabal bent on causing long-term disaffection for me and determined to disrupt the launch of my book, “CHASING THE ELEPHANT INTO THE BUSH”. I wish to offer my sincere sympathies to all who were maligned in my name. I condemn without reservation those cowards who wish to offer their opinions under my hard-won reputation. My advice to those in the NPP who will be voting is to vote for competent and loyal candidates who can lead our party to victory, regardless of who is our flag-bearer. We should not administer loyalty tests to candidates before deciding whom to vote for. I wish all candidates the best of luck. Finally, I thank myjoyonline for calling me to verify the story once they realized the statement might be false and working with me to repair the damage. Sincerely, Arthur Kobina Kennedy
