Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has put aside celebrations after the emphatic 2-0 win over Mali in Bamako by beginning to plot the downfall of Sudan in two weeks’ time.
The Serbian named a squad that confounded the Malians in Bamako to keep the Black Stars on course for a second successive World Cup appearance.
A win over Sudan in Omdurman will all but seal Ghana's place at the 2010 World Cup to held in South Africa.
Despite the impressive performance with goals from Kwadwo Asamoah and Matthew Amoah, Rajevac insists Sudan won’t be pushovers.
“We have to leave the celebrations over the Mali win and concentrate on the next task because it is the most important for us,” Rajevac told Ghanasoccernet.com
“The Mali game is gone and I have told them that our most difficult games to come are those we are facing not those who are past.
“It is important we get Sudan right and when we get a result there surely then our plans are on track.
Until then we must work hard and not rest because of this important win – we want to do our best for the country so we must work.”
Ghana lead Group Four with maximum six points and they will take on Sudan on 20 June.
