Former Presidential Staffer, James Agyenim-Boateng, and UNESCO's representative to Ghana, Diallo Abdourahamane, are among several others who have sent congratulatory messages to Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo.
The University of Ghana announced that its Governing Council had appointed Prof. Amfo as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University.
She has been the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University since July.
Professor Amfo’s appointment takes effect from October 26, 2021.
She becomes the first female in the history of the University to rise to such a position.
