A prison officer has been detained at the Akuse Police Station, for allegedly sodomising three juvenile boys.
Lance Corporal Raymond Ametepe, 27, was said to have had carnal knowledge of the three boys whose ages were given as 14 years each.
Police said they were awaiting the report of medical examinations on the boys to aid their 'investigations.
The Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Nketia-Yeboah, who confirmed this to the Times, said that on Saturday, the father of one of the victims detected a change in his son’s walking and out of curiousity, examined his anus only to find that it had been penetrated leaving it with a sore.
The police said that upon interrogation, the boy mentioned Lance Corporal Ametepe who lived in the neighbourhood, as the perpetrator of the act.
As word of the incident went round the community, two other boys informed their parents that they had also been sodomised by the warder.
The parents of the three boys got together and reported the matter to the Akuse police who arrested Ametepe and placed him in custody to assist with investigations.
