Agya Appiah, President of the Ghana Federation of Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association (GHAFTRAM), at the weekend donated 1,000 Ghana Cedis to the Ga Traditional Council as his contribution to the celebration of this year's Ga Homowo Festival.
The President of the GHAFTRAM, who is also the Managing Proprietor of Agya Appiah Bitters, a popular herbal medicinal preparation, said the gesture was to show appreciation for the acceptance of the product by the people and to lend his support to the traditional council during this year's Homowo.
He congratulated King Tackie Tawiah III, the Ga Mantse, on his enstoolment and wished the Ga state a joyous Homowo.
Agya Appiah who also donated a quantity of his products to the Ga Mantse, expressed the hope that other practitioners within the association would emulate the gesture.
The Ga Manste who received the amount on behalf of the Traditional Council expressed appreciation for the gesture and called on other individuals to emulate Agya Appiah.
He urged traditional medical practitioners, who according to him formed part of chieftaincy, to work harder to find cure to strange diseases to complement orthodox medicine.
