Hearts of Oak are counting on interim coach Shaibu Tanko to mastermind the team’s resurgence in the Premier League as they take on Berekum Arsenals at the Golden City Park in a week 17 fixture.
Phobian skipper Karim Alhassan is aware it will be a tall order but expects the club to end their four match winless run tomorrow.
He however maintained that just as RTU came and beat them in Accra, it is possible for them to also beat Arsenals in their own backyard.
Berekum Chelsea are eager on building upon their 7 point lead at the top of the table when they play against 13th placed Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park.
Second placed New Edubiase will engage mid-table AshantiGold in a dicey local derby at the Len Clay Stadium.
The new-look Asante Kotoko team will attempt to end the six match unbeaten run of Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Stadium. But, Administrative Manager of Dwarfs Jonas Commey says his side will shock Kotoko.
He said the club had prepared well enough to beat Kotoko. “This time we don’t play with names, we play quality football,” he said, adding the side will also be relying heavily on the professor coach who has not suffered any defeat in six matches.
Relegation candidates, Real Tamale United are drawing inspiration from their historic victory over Hearts of Oak as they face King Faisal at the Tamale Sports Stadium. Coach of RTU, Mohammed Gargo says his side will go all out.
Elsewhere, reigning champions Aduana Stars will play as guests to Heart of Lions at the Kpando Park. Mighty Jets who lie third from bottom, will host to bottom placed BA Stars in a battle of the relegation threatened sides. In other fixtures, Kessben FC will play away to All Stars at the Wa Park.
