Preview: Hearts need to blank derby misery

Two sides would be unavailable for on match-day-11 of the Glo Premier League but a change of guard at the summit does not look likely. The top of the table clash between Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea has been rescheduled to December 14 as the Porcupine Warriors travel to Tanzania for a commemorative match to mark that country's 50th Independence anniversary. Before Sunday's round of matches, Mighty Jets would meet in-form Tema Youth on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kotoko sit top with 21 points, two points better than their next opponents, Chelsea, and third-place, Wa All Stars. But the Reds might return from Tanzania still on top as All Stars are not expected to pick all three points at the Robert Mensah Stadium where they take on Ebusua Dwarfs in a 3:00pm live kick off fixture on Metro TV. The Blues would need to win to go a point ahead of Kotoko at the top, a task which looks increasingly impossible. Whatever the result would be from Cape Coast, the pressure would be on the two top sides. The weekend's topliner is the game at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Hearts of Oak vs. Medeama clash. Defeat to Liberty last Sunday night was a disaster for Hearts of Oak and they would attempt to lift their game to avert a second consecutive loss at the same grounds. A win for the Phobians would bring level with rivals, Kotoko, who have a game in hand. New Edubiase were beaten 2-0 by All Stars in their last game but as they return home to host Aduana Stars at the Gyamfi Park, the Bekwai-side would be difficult to beat. Zdravko Logarusic has been backed at AshantiGold as the pressure mounts. The Miners who would be without Henri Traore, after he was dismissed in their last game travel to the Golden City Park to face Berekum Arsenal. The Kpando Park will see home side, Heart of Lions attempt to push up the log when they take on Bechem United. Finally, Wassaman are rooted to the bottom of the table as their poor run continues. Herbert Addo's side would be home to Liberty Professionals at the Sekondi Stadium.
