As the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares to go to congress to elect its flagbearer to lead the party in the 2008 general elections, the founder of Soldiers of Christ Ministry at Jamasu in the Ashanti Region, Prophet Amos Sarfo Adu, has emphatically stated that the Almighty God had revealed to him that He had anointed Nana Akuffo Addo, the outgoing Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and NEPAD, to succeed President John Agyekum Kufuor as President of Ghana.
He explained that God spoke about President Kufuor in 1996 and commanded him (Kufuor) to visit him (Prophet) in 1998 and in 1999 at the late J.Y. Manu's house in Accra and prayed for him in 2000 before the elections.
"In like manner, in 2002 and 2005, the Almighty God told me that He (God) has chosen Nana Akuffo Addo to be the President of Ghana from 2009 - 2016", he asserted.
