There were no overhauls as predicted after the last campaign as the off-season witnessed very few changes for the majority of Premier League clubs.
Amid the low-key changes, the expectation would remain high for the league's two traditional big clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko who have replaced their coaches and infused their sides with new additions.
On Sunday, the 2010-11 Glo Premier League season gets underway for all 16 sides and the work done during the past two months would be assessed by pundits and fans.
After a hugely successful first season in the elite ranks, Herbert Addo gets Aduana's title defence underway at home to Real Tamale United.
But RTU who have brought in Turkish coach Talat Uzum to improve on their performance from last season will attempt to curb the momentum of the Dormaa-side. The Turk, who failed to impress during his maiden stint in the Ghanaian league with Kotoko could prove critics wrong.
Predicted as the team to beat this term due to their off-season form, Hearts of Oak now under Paa Kwesi Fabin have a tough game on their hands as they welcome King Faisal to the Ohene Djan Stadium.
The Robert Mensah Stadium would host the clash between the premiership's new-boys, Ebusua Dwarfs and Mighty Jets - making their premiership debut.
A failed campaign by their own standards last term means new Kotoko coach Ebo Mends would be under pressure to deliver.
The Porcupine Warriors take on Kessben FC in the premiership's first derby at the Baba Yara Stadium. Kessben would be motivated to prove a point following their takeover in the off-season while coach Bashir Hayford would return to the grounds where he achieved success with Kotoko before his dismissal.
All Stars would get off their season at home against Liberty Professionals. Both sides play a similar pattern but the Blues could edge one past Liberty, especially backed by their home supporters at the Wa Park.
After narrowly missing the title last season AshantiGold travel to the Golden City Park to begin the campaign against Chelsea. The Miners have sounded their determination to compete for the title again but their opening game is a difficult task.
New Edubiase did look like they could be slipping into relegation last season but they avoided the drop. A new campaign could turn around their fortunes but they are yet to stabilize their technical front following the departure of Mohammed Gargo just days to the start of the season.
The Obuasi-based side welcome Berekum Arsenals to the Len Clay Stadium for their opening home game and a win would restore hope.
Premiership debutant B.A. Stars would kick off at home to Heart of Lions at the Coronation Park in Sunyani. Lions could pick up the three points but would have to work for it.
