A host of Premier League clubs are tracking Ghana and Cagliari midfielder Godfred Donsah, according to the player’s agent.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian - dubbed ‘the new Michael Essien’ in the Italian press - has been linked with a move to AC Milan in Italy.
However, according to Calciomercato the Rossoneri are struggling to strike a deal with the Sardinian club because of interest from England - with Cagliari reckoning that will drive the price up for the youngster.
And Milan’s case hasn’t been helped by the words of his agent, Oliver Arthur, who told Sport Witness of interest from a number of the Premier League’s elite clubs.
“There’s lots of interest in Donsah as of now. Especially from clubs in UK. Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal have made official enquiries about him. Until now they are scouting him and there’s nothing concrete."
“The player is happy to hear of all this interest and the fact that his efforts are being noticed by bigger clubs.”
Donsah was part of the Ghana U20 team that failed to impress at the FIFA World Cup in New Zealand.
