Speaking at the association's general meeting at Suhum the Chairman of the Association, Emmanuel K. Martey, said the efforts of the police was highly commendable and that without police action Suhum could have been destroyed.
He alleged that the murders were committed by a group of criminals who wanted to disrupt the peace and tranquillity that had existed in Suhum for a long time.
Mr Martey, a catechist in-charge of Suhum Bungalow Presbyterian Church, appealed to members of the association to take advantage of the government's free education policy and send their children to school especially, the girls.
The Patron of the Association, Prosper Addetah urged the association to assist the police by exposing suspected criminals to the law enforcement agencies.
He condemned the attack on the District Chief Executive by some youth during the demonstration and said people should not politicize crime.
