Police have arrested a man suspected of murdering a young woman at Parkoso close to Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti Region.
Scenes from his house indicate that he allegedly slashed her with a kitchen knife before smashing her head with a brick.
The youth, who arrested him, say he has been inviting, robbing and stabbing prostitutes he brings from town.
One resident, speaking to JoyNews’ Erastus Asare Donkor claimed that the suspect is a convict who has already spent seven years in prison.
He alleged that, the suspect had earlier committed some offences after his release that landed him in jail, however, his mother paid to get him out.
According to the resident, the body of the deceased was found with the head smashed and eyes popping out.
An uncle, Kwabena Kyere, commenting on the incident stated that his nephew went to prison for stealing and raping a resident, and he is therefore surprised the suspect was able to commit another heinous crime.
