Police arrest 3 for unlawful possession of weapons and personation

The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects for the offense of unlawful possession of weapons and personation.

On Saturday, February 19, 2022, Prosper Kwame Boaho, 25; Kobina Domanle, 47 and Dzahile Delali, better known as Mark were arrested and later remanded by the Techiman Circuit Court.

On the day of their arrest, Mark hired the service of the complainant, a driver of a truck to cart his cashew nuts from Fiamah in the Nkoranza District to Jama, near Techiman on an ostensible Police escort.

According to the Police, the complainant became suspicious when he met Prosper Kwame Boaho, the supposed Police Officer for the escort with a pump action gun at the Tamale station in Techiman, where he was to pick him for the trip as arranged by Mark the cashew nut dealer.

“Police was immediately alerted and the suspect was arrested with the exhibit pump action gun and 22 BB live cartridges. Investigations revealed that the suspect is a self-styled security supervisor for ‘Gaza security’ which does not exist.”

“However, he had employed Kobina Domale as security officer at Vziit Cashew Company at Jama near Techiman, and Mark, the cashew nut dealer, as the owner of the gun. Kobina Domale was arrested with a locally manufactured single barrel gun with seven BB cartridges at his duty post,” the statement dated February 24 explained.

The Command has encouraged individuals and organisations in the Region to exercise due diligence in order to avert engaging such “unscrupulous” entities in the name of providing security.
