The Cyber Crime Unit of the Ghana Police Service is today examining close to twenty laptops retrieved from suspected internet fraudsters arrested at Weija here in Accra.
The twelve suspects, all Nigerians, are in the custody of the New Weija District Police after they were found in an apartment engaging in a suspicious activity.
The men were allegedly trafficked into Ghana ostensibly to work, but they were camped in a three-bedroom house and denied food until they succeeded in defrauding people online.
But one of them escaped from the house and alerted some of the residents which led to the police being tipped off to effect an arrest.
