The Supreme Court today heard legal arguments from lawyers of the Electoral Commission as well as President Akufo-Addo on their decision not to call witnesses in the ongoing election petition hearing.
The two counsels, who had earlier indicated that they will call one witness each told the court yesterday that they have rescinded that decision.
The two counsels argued that the evidence presented by the witnesses for the petitioner and from cross-examination does not support the reliefs being requested by Mr. Mahama, hence the decision to close their case.
This was, however, objected to by counsel for the petitioner.
Today, the lawyers made their final submission before the court decides on the matter.
