On Tuesday, Parliament launched a probe into circumstances surrounding the killing of 5 suspected land guards at Bortianor in the Greater Accra Region.
This follows a demand by the MP for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh.
While the police is arguing that the deceased died from exchange of fire during an operation, the MP insists this account cannot be accurate.
Again, the Office of the Special Prosecutor is still under pressure to show more commitment to the fight against corruption.
Despite the numerous investigations which have been launched into galamsey and corruption-related activities, the opposition NDC says the OSP must go after all government officials named in the galamsey report put together by the chairman of the now-dissolved IMCIM, Prof. Frimpong-Boateng.
Today on Newsfile, host Samson Lardy Anyenini and his guests dived into these issues and more.
The team also touched on the take-or-pay contract system in the energy sector and whether these contracts can trigger 'dumsor'.
