The Ministry of Information is holding a press briefing to update Ghanaians on the country's fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Kuma-Aboagye, moderated the briefing. They touched on the interventions put in place by the government to address the surge in Covid-19 cases recorded.
According to the GHS' latest update, the country's death toll as of July 17, stands at 817. Active and new cases recorded are 3,466 and 304 respectively.
For some health experts, the recent surge in cases across the country shows the possibility of a third wave.
