President Akufo-Addo is set to provide updates to the nation on the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
This comes at a time of dramatic resurgence in active cases with an increasing death toll amid the detection of a new Covid-19 variant within the country's borders.
Tonight, the President is expected to throw more light on measures put in place to curb the spread of the virus.
Latest figures by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) as of January 27, indicate that 28 more persons have died from Covid-19 as the country records 797 new infections.
This brings the death toll to 405 and 4,665 active cases.
