Plan International Ghana, a leading organisation dedicated to supporting marginalised children, particularly girls, and women, has organised its annual media training workshop.
Themed "Amplifying Impact: Showcasing Innovation and Progress in Our Projects," the workshop aims to enhance the capacity of selected journalists to communicate the organisation’s efforts and achievements.
Scheduled as a three-day residential event, the workshop is designed to provide journalists with a comprehensive understanding of Plan International Ghana's various projects and initiatives.
By equipping media professionals with detailed insights into their programmes, the organisation hopes to amplify its impact stories and ensure that the voices of needy children in Ghana are heard.
“We recognise the invaluable role of the media in amplifying our impact stories. In line with our country strategy, we are committed to fostering a strong partnership with the media to better communicate our efforts and achievements,”said Country Director, Constant Tchona
The workshop will feature presentations, interactive sessions, and field visits to project sites, allowing journalists to witness firsthand the innovations and progress being made in communities across Ghana. Topics will include the organisation’s initiatives in education, health, child protection, and economic empowerment for women.
Journalists attending the workshop will have the opportunity to engage with project beneficiaries, community leaders, and Plan International Ghana staff. This engagement is intended to provide a holistic view of the organisation’s work and the positive changes being realised in the lives of marginalised children and their families.
By empowering journalists with this knowledge, Plan International Ghana aims to enhance media coverage of development issues and foster a deeper public understanding of the challenges and successes in supporting vulnerable populations.
Plan International Ghana’s annual media training workshop is a testament to its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the effective dissemination of information.
