History was made in the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic as the country elected a Speaker from an opposition party.
The Chamber of Parliament, after over eight hours of a chaotic scene, elected a former NDC MP for Nadowli Kaleo to chair the House.
Alban Sumana Bagbin on Thursday polled 138 votes during a secret ballot in Parliament leaving his predecessor Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye of the NPP with 136.
Photojournalist Sammy Moore captured the event.
