Under the bright sun, the spirit of creativity continued to flourish as the second day of the 2023 edition of the Chale Wote Street Art Festival dawned upon Accra.
The second day of the street art festival took place on Tuesday, August 22 with art enthusiasts and curious onlookers gathered at the historic Osu Castle Garden to witness a spectacular display of artistic prowess.
The event also showcased the extraordinary artworks which portray the resistance of the ancestors during the slave trade era.
The greenery of the castle garden served as a natural backdrop, allowing the art pieces to stand out vividly against the canvas.
From sculptures to paintings, drawings and mosaics – each art piece had its own story to tell and its own message to convey.
The artists chatted with visitors, sharing insights into their creative process and the stories behind their pieces. It was a celebration not only of the finished artwork, but of the journey that led to its creation.
