A Dormaa Ahenkro circuit court has sentenced Amina Musa, a petty trader at Nkrankwanta to three months imprisonment in hard labour on her own plea for offensive conduct and causing damage.
The court presided over by Mr Justice V.C. Senu also ordered Amina to pay GH¢200 compensation to the complainant or in default serve an additional six months imprisonment.
Police Chief Inspector M.K.Yeboah told the court that the complainant was a drinking bar operator at Nkrankwanta where the accused also lived.
He said sometime last year, Amina and her friends went to the bar and in the process broke some drinking glasses after which the complainant warned them never to enter the bar.
Police Chief Inspector Yeboah said on May 26, this year the complainant asked one Doris to grind pepper for her and when Amina saw Doris at the bar she became offended and enquired from the complainant why she was using her (Amina) relative to work for her (complainant).
He said an argument ensued between them, they were separated but three days later Amina went to the bar and cast insinuations on the complainant and not able to bear her conduct any longer reported the matter to the police, Amina was arrested and after investigations charged with the offence.
