National executives of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council paid a courtesy visit to the founder of the Royal House Chapel, Sam Korankye-Ankrah's family over the death of his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. J.K Owusu.
The delegation from the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council on September 11, was led by the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost who doubles as the president of the Council, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.
He admonished the bereaved man of God to stay strong in this trying moment and also pledged the support of the council leading to the funeral and burial of the two.
“We are here to sympathize with you and the family and also encourage you not to relent as you shoulder a lot of responsibilities as a leader of a congregation. Around this time of preparation for burial, there is a lot of confusion between families. Endeavour not to engage in any quarrels, just have the mindset of burying your in-laws in peace” he said.
Responding to what the visit meant to the entire Council and Christian body, Apostle Eric said: “It means a lot. It is a demonstration of who Christ is and the love that we also preach about. It is by this love that people will know that we are disciples of Christ and so that is why we have made time to come to him and to also commiserate with him. We know that in these times it's also difficult for any human being and so we decided to come here and encourage him".
The General Secretary of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, Apostle Emmanuel Tettey, also advised the bereaved family to remain steadfast as he describes the loss of the two as grievous.
“Loosing one person is so grievous and so hearing about they loosing both parents within the space of a month, we knew we had to commiserate with them and encourage them and to support them in these difficult times.
“We thank God so much for your life. You are pillars and generals in the body of Christ in Ghana and beyond and in this difficult time we encourage that you stand firm. We stand with you in prayer and we believe that the Lord is going to see you through everything," he added.
Mr and Mrs J.K Owusu who are parents to Lady Rev. Rita Sam Korankye-Ankrah and have been married for over 63 years died a month apart.
