Non-profit organisation, The Whole Child Foundation (TWCF), has held a career guidance and counselling session for students of Peki SHS in the Volta Region.
The programme was aimed at helping the students make the right choice when it comes to choosing courses to study at the senior high level and university levels towards a fulfilling career in whatever field they find most suitable.
The programme was dubbed, "Making an informed career choice for a better tomorrow."
Speaking in an interview with JoyNews, the Programmes Coordinator for The Whole Child Foundation, Mr. Eric Kobina Baidoo said the annual seminar organised on career counselling for SHS students is to “unveil the secret of career excellence to them."
Mr. Eric Kobina Baidoo advised the students to take into consideration their needs in making career choices. He urged them to make informed decisions while dealing with issues regarding their future and career.
The Headmistress of Peki SHS on her part urged parents to make time for their wards and put in effort to study and understand their children’s weaknesses and capabilities in order to guide them with the selection of courses to be undertaken in the senior high school.
The students were excited about the programme and optimistic about making better choices while working hard to achieve their desired goals.
They appealed for more of such sessions to help them make better career decisions and choices.
