After weeks of teasing movie lovers with captivating scenes from the highly-anticipated film; Pawn, the premiere finally came off on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Patrons thronged the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall and West Hills Mall and were impressed after viewing the movie produced by Lynx Entertainment and Tigon Creative Studios.
‘Pawn’, a psychological thriller film incorporating elements of mystery, drama, action, and paranoia, sheds light on a celebrated detective with multiple personalities who must navigate his own fractured mind to solve series of murders.
The detective, Adjetey Anang, soon discovers that the killer’s identity is closer than he ever imagined and this leads to a roller-coaster journey.
Other top actors in the Pascal Aka-directed film included Sika Osei, Gloria Sarfo, Lydia Forson, Nikki Samonas, Richmond Amoakoh, Prince David Osei, Fred Amugi and Nana Gyasi Owusu.
A patron remarked that ‘it was good, the plot twist was what I didn’t expect. It was really good”. Another added that ‘it was crazy, a masterpiece, I will rate it 11 out of 10”.
The exquisite premiere had an attractive white and black carpet with top stars in the movie making appearances alongside celebrated actress Nadia Buari, broadcaster Regina Van Helvert and CEO of EMY Africa; Kojo Soboh.
‘Pawn’ will still be showing this November at the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall and West Hills for those who unfortunately missed the exciting premiere.
