Ghanaian international Patrick Twumasi scored a sensational freekick to aid Kazakhstan champions FC Astana secure a place in the group stage of the Europa League after their 2-2 draw with Belarusian club FC BATE Borisov.
The 22- year old put his side in the lead in the 76th minute from a well-taken free kick after curling the ball into the bottom corner of the post to ensure Kazakhstan Premier League title-holders' qualification.
The Game however ended in a draw after the home team equalized late in the game. Astana Progressed with a 4-2 aggregate win after their impressive 2-0 win in the first leg of the tie in Kazakhstan.
The former Sogakope Red Bull Academy graduate lasted the entire duration of the game as his side progressed to The Group stage of the Europa League.
