Some out-patients at the Ridge Hospital in Accra are reportedly paying to use bathroom facilities there.
The patients say janitors at the hospital force them to pay before using the bathroom.
One lady told Joy News her husband spent a week in the hospital and paid 20p and 50p for using the washroom and for taking a bath respectively.
She doesn’t understand why patients have to pay to use washroom especially when they are forced to pay before they are allowed to use the essential facilities.
A number of other patients on admission at the hospital confirmed the story to Joy News.
The hospital authorities have declined comment on the matter.
