Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle has expressed satisfaction with her team's performance in the first leg of their Olympic Games qualifier against Zambia.
Ghana faced Zambia at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday in the first of two meetings in the third round of the qualifiers for the games to be staged in Paris, France.
Racheal Kundananji scored the only goal of the game as the Copper Queens took the first-leg advantage heading into the return fixture.
The Queens were better in the second half of the game recovering from a sloppy display in the opening half of the encounter.
"Ghana had possession. Ghana played football, the Queens were showing we are able to play amazing football," said the Swiss trainer after the game. In the first half, we missed a little bit of deep play in the final third. We didn't create so many chances out of our possession.
"In the second half, we switched the system...and it fully worked. [Grace] Asantewaa in the 10 [role] played a good job and we started to create chances. Of course, in the end, we needed to score out these many chances...
"Normally, in the end, we should win this game 3-1 or 4-1."
The second leg of the game is set for Wednesday, February 28, with the winner facing one of Morocco or Tunisia in the last round of qualifiers.
