Guinea head coach Camara Sekouba says his team will play to avoid any humiliation when they face Ghana in the second leg of their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier.
Guinea suffered a 0-3 loss in the first encounter in Conakry last week and are close to exiting the chase for a spot in Paris.
The team held its final training session on Monday afternoon ahead of the game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking to the media, Sekouba admitted overturning the tie is a tough ask but the team will be playing for 'pride.'
“Tomorrow’s match won’t be an easy one. We conceded three goals in the first leg and personally, I think we need to do a 'remontada.' We need to score three times but it will not be easy against a superior Ghanaian team," he said.
We are players who are just about 20 years and so, it will be difficult. We will try our best to overturn to the score so we qualify. Insha Allah.
"Let’s not forget that we are not here to take in the sights. There is pride and honour on the line. Tomorrow, the players will do their best and make sure they will leave the pitch with their heads held high."
The second leg of the encounter will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium with kickoff set at 16:00 GMT.
