The third Hang and Paragliding Festival opened on Friday on the Odwen Anoma Mountains at Atibie in the Kwahu South District.
This year’s Festival is organized in memory of the late Ferdinand Ayim, Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.
Ayim died in a motor accident during preparations for last year’s edition of the Festival.
The five-day programme dubbed the Pepsi Cola Ferdinand Ayim Atibie Paragliding Festival began on Friday morning with a demonstration flight.
Scores of enthusiastic fans queued to be propelled into the skies while they were entertained to cultural music and traditional dances.
