The opening ceremony of the KPC Youth Para Sports Camp took place on Wednesday in Incheon, South Korea.
Organized by the Korean Paralympic Committee (KPC), the camp is hosting 60 participants, including athletes, coaches, and staff from around the world.
The program began on November 5 and will run until November 13, 2024.
The camp aims to provide participants with valuable orientation and exposure as they prepare for the next Paralympic Games, scheduled to be held in Los Angeles in 2028.
The ceremony featured opening speeches from several NPC Presidents. Participants were introduced, followed by a video highlight of the 2023 camp, and a photo session.
The three-hour program concluded with a closing speech from participants, a highlight video of the 2024 camp, and another photo session.
After the ceremony, participants engaged in networking and bonding activities.
NPC-Ghana’s contingent, led by Mr. Michael Obeng and three para-athletes, attended the event and took part in various activities.
The program will continue on November 7, with sports practice sessions in badminton, swimming, and taekwondo planned for the athletes.
